The meter has a lower housing portion (10) that comprises a microprocessor which is arranged in a printed circuit board. An upper housing portion (12) is formed with an opening. The circuit board has a test pad comprising multiple contact points which are provided on the opening of the upper housing portion and made to contact with a test adapter by the opening when the upper housing portion is closed. The test pad is arranged on the upper housing portion facing side of the circuit board. A cover (14) is provided to cover the opening against unauthorized access.
