The camshaft (17a) has a ring gear (10a) for operative connection with a wrapping around unit or a gearwheel, where a base body (11a) is provided for connecting the ring gear on the camshaft. The base body and the ring gear are connected elastically to each other to be inclined to compensate for angular errors in an operation. The ring gear at its outer periphery (12a) lies on a different axial plane than the base body at its inner periphery.
