Producing a dental impression comprises spraying a silicone impression of at least one tooth with a spray containing a fine-grained powder and wetting the surface of the silicone impression, and pouring the wetted silicone impression with a filling material. An independent claim is also included for a spray for the silicone impressions, comprising a coolant in a weight ratio of (a), an alcohol with a weight ratio of (b), an emulsifying agent with a weight ratio of (c), a pigment with a weight ratio of (d), an amorphous silica in a weight ratio of (e), a fuel gas with a ratio of (f) and a group with a weight ratio of (g), in which the sum of a, b, c, d, e, f and g is 100%.
