The module (1) has a base body (3) with cubic cladding geometry, and connection units (8, 9) for coupling the body with another base body. Contact units (12, 15) are provided for electrical signal transmission from the former body to the latter body, and conduit units (16, 17) transmits fluidic power from the former body to the latter body. A power interface (19) provides fluidic power current from the conduit units to a consumer. A switching unit designed as a switching valve or proportional valve influences the current based on adjusting signal coupled over the contact units. An independent claim is also included for a method for starting a functional module.
