The car has a steering line (3) arranged in a passenger compartment (11). A steering column (15) is connected with a steering wheel (17) and a jacket tube module (19). Two steering column sections (21, 25) are guided in the jacket tube module. A universal joint (23) is arranged in the jacket tube module. A downstream of the steering wheel is directly attached to the universal joint that is connected to the steering shaft sections, where the shaft sections are arranged into a module. A bearing (27) i.e. floating bearing, is mounted on the jacket tube module.
