The holding element (1) has two regions (B1,B2) that are arranged successively in the axial direction. An outer diameter of the region (B1) is made larger than an internal diameter of a component aperture, such that a screw is inserted in a component. An outer diameter of region (B2) at the facing side of region (B1) is made larger than an internal diameter of component aperture, and is increased to a specific value in the direction of region (B1). An internal thread (7) is formed in the region (B1). Independent claims are included for the following: (1) a holder assembly for holding screw at component of motor vehicle; and (2) a method for attaching holder assembly to component of motor vehicle.
