The method involves clamping a fiber semi-finished product (3) into multiple clamping elements (15a-15e,15a'-15e') along a circumference (19) of the product. The displacement of the clamping elements in a vertical direction is carried out along a horizontal plane of the product. The product is applied partially on an application surface (11) of an application element (9) with an application stamper, when the product is tensioned by the clamping elements.
