The point drive (3) has an adjusting rod (8) movably mounted perpendicular to the railroad track and is connected to the switch blades (2) of the railroad track. The switch blades are movable by the adjusting rod. A blocking unit (9) is provided for end position fixing of the control rod and the switch blades in their end positions. The blocking unit has a predetermined breaking point which breaks while bursting open the points before all other portions of the point drive through its dimensioning.
