The arrangement (10) has a bumper casing (101) and a lower engine compartment cover (102) that are connected to a rigid support shell (103) that is provided with a wheel arch liner (1), a curved shell portion and a horizontal portion (11) along travel direction (F). The horizontal portion extends in the direction of travel over an end portion of the bumper casing, and is non-conductive and connected with the lower engine cover. A mechanical stiffener is arranged in a horizontal portion of the wheel arch liner.
