The assembly of the first and/or the second gripper is displaced in a second mounting position relative to the laser device. The first and second magazine portions are introduced into an enclosure in which the laser device and the first and the second robot arm are arranged. A third component is provided in a third magazine portion, and is positioned on the second gripper relative to each other and relative to the laser device in a third mounting position. A connection of the components is produced by laser thermal conduction seam welding by the laser device. An independent claim is included for a device for connecting mechanical component by laser welding.
