The device has X-ray source (1) that is provided opposite to linear X-ray detector with drawers (7). A transport unit is provided for passing the container (4) between the X-ray source and X-ray detector which is located between the space and a computer (8) for controlling the operation of the X-ray source. The X-ray detector and the transport device determine the number of in the digital X-ray image imaged elements. The X-ray detector is provided with X-ray camera for minimizing the hitting of stray radiation scattered back on the X-ray camera through an intermediate X-ray source.
