The device (1) has an inductor (5) that is arranged with an induction coil, where the device is displaceable from an open position, in which a workpiece (3) i.e. metal sheet, is bringable in intervention with the inductor, to a closing position in which the workpiece is heatable by utilizing the inductor by a suction hood (7).
