The lamp assembly comprises a main body that is formed at an end with a receiving chamber, in which two surfaces are formed. A lens (2) is mounted in the receiving chamber in accordance with the latter surface. A downward directed light source (3) is mounted on the former surface in the receiving chamber. The portions of the light beam from the light source are irradiated obliquely through the receiving chamber to create a low beam illumination area. The light beam from a straight directed light source (4) is irradiated through the lens to create a high beam illumination area.
