The rod (1a-1f) has a multi-layer plastic composite portion which is made of fiber-reinforced plastic core. A resilient buffer is provided to surround the plastic core. A resilient cladding is provided to coat the resilient buffer. A receiving portion is provided to retain a weight from the resilient buffer, and displaced to a longitudinal rail along an axial direction. Independent claims are included for the following: (1) the obstacle; and (2) the limiting device for horse area.
