The method involves optionally supplying the heat transfer medium from a feed terminal (1a) of a heating boiler (1) or from an upper port (2a) of a buffer memory (2) to the loads (3,13). The heat transfer medium is re-conducted to a return terminal (1b) of the boiler and a lower port (2b) of buffer memory through a return line (16). A mixture of heat transfer medium from the feed terminal and the return line or a mixture of heat transfer medium from the upper port of buffer memory and return line is optionally supplied to the load through the mixing valves (4,14). Independent claims are included for the following: (1) a heating system; and (2) a mixing valve.
