The equipment has two side parts (10, 10') attached to a center part and pivotable from an operative position into a transport position. The side parts are supported by wheels (8) at bottom, where the wheels are hinged with a steering wheel (13) and a hydraulic cylinder (14) i.e. double acting hydraulic cylinder. The hydraulic cylinder co-acts with a storage unit that is biased with gas pressure. System pressure is adjustable to a predeterminable value in the hydraulic cylinder such that the wheels are supportable with predetermined forces at the bottom. An independent claim is also included for a self-propelled harvester.
