The device (10) has a pericardial closure (5) for sealing a break-through membrane and provided with first and second closure elements, which are provided with two disk shaped sealing lips. The first closure element is coupled and secured with the second closure element with a mechanism. The mechanism comprises a screwing mechanism, a screw thread, a clamping mechanism and a bayonet fitting, where the device comprises a delivery system. The closure elements are made of metal or plastic. A shell (2) i.e. wire mesh, partly encloses the heart (61) and a casing is inserted into the shell. The closure elements are made of polyetheretherketone, polyamide, polyurethane, polyethylene, polypropylene, polycarbonate, polyethylene and terephthalate. An independent claim is also included for a tool for gripping closure elements.
