The method involves filming a piece of skin of a desired person (9) requested for an access to a motor car (1) by using built-in electronic cameras (2,3) in motor car. The characteristic including coloration and swelling of filmed piece of skin changes over time is determined. The change in the characteristic of the filmed piece of skin is compared with stored heartbeat rhythm reference data of authorized person. An access to the motor car is provided, if the change in characteristic of the filmed piece of skin is matched with stored heartbeat rhythm reference data. An independent claim is included for a device for identifying authorized person to drive motor car.
