The assembly (10) has fiber composite components (11, 12) comprising reinforcement fibers that are embedded in a matrix of thermoplastic material. The composite components are positioned such that a front-sided end area of one of the composite components faces a front-sided end area of another composite component. The composite components are welded with one another at the end areas, and a reinforcement designed as a shock welding seam (14) is formed in a connection area of the composite components. The welding seam has V-shaped cross-section, and reinforced with stainless steel fabric. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a method for manufacturing a component assembly (2) a method for repairing damaged composite components.
