The present invention relates to a mounting device for counterforce-free mounting of a pressure plate assembly on a counter-pressure plate with at least one with respect to the pressure plate assembly in the axial direction displaceable disengaging element which is adapted to apply plate spring tongues of the pressure plate assembly with an axial force to disengage the normal-engaged pressure plate assembly, and at least a hook member which is adapted to engage behind a clutch cover of the pressure plate assembly to hold the mounting device with respect to the pressure plate assembly at least in the axial direction, when the disengaging the diaphragm spring tongues of the pressure plate assembly with the axial force applied, and a corresponding method for counterforce-free assembly of the pressure plate assembly and a corresponding method for counterforce-free disassembly of the pressure plate assembly.
