The method involves detecting an operating mode of a compressor (1). An air valve arrangement (11) is controlled based on the detected operating mode. Air flow is cooled by a coolant valve arrangement (12) through an injecting arrangement (4). Temperature of the air flow is controlled by the coolant valve arrangement. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a compressor (2) an aero engine gas turbine.
