The device has a parallel arm (10) and a sliding contact element (5) which is arranged in the parallel arm and is adapted to transmit the electric current on a sliding surface (9). A pre-tensioned spring element (15) arranged in the parallel arm, cooperates with the parallel arm such that the sliding contact element exerts a contact pressure force (FA) on the sliding surface. The spring element is arranged and pre-tensioned in the working area of sliding contact element in such a manner that the contact pressure of sliding contact element lies within tolerance range.
