Cosmetic composition comprises (a) at least one N-acyl glutamic acid amide compound (I), (b) at least one further surfactant comprising (i) anionic surfactant, (ii) nonionic surfactant and/or (iii) amphoteric surfactant, and (c) at least one cationic polymer. The weight ratio of total amount of component (a) and total amount of component (b) is 1:1-1:800. Cosmetic composition comprises (a) at least one N-acyl glutamic acid amide compound of formula (I), (b) at least one further surfactant comprising (i) anionic surfactant, (ii) nonionic surfactant and/or (iii) amphoteric surfactant, and (c) at least one cationic polymer. The weight ratio of total amount of component (a) and total amount of component (b) is 1:1-1:800. R1 : aliphatic 2-20C alkyl; R2 : H or 1-4C alkyl; R3, R4 : CH 3, ethyl, propyl, isopropyl, butyl or tert-butyl; X : direct bond or C=O; and Y1 : O or NH. An independent claim is also included for care- and/or cleaning of head skin and hair, comprising applying the above cosmetic composition on optionally previously washed and/or wet hair, and optionally rinsing the composition after specific time, where the cosmetic composition improves dry- and wet combability and grip of the hair.
