The method involves introducing an elongate drying body in a ventilating channel (1) before the setting of the concrete or the cement, where the elongate drying body has a moisture-permeable casing, in which a drying agent is arranged. The drying body is extended along the ventilating channel. The drying body is removed from the ventilating channel after the setting of concrete or the cement. The moisture-permeable casing is formed as flexible hose and the drying agent as a bulk material. The hose is made from plastic. The drying agent contains silica gel. An independent claim is included for a device for executing a method for installing a ventilation channel.
