The arrangement (14) has two pulleys (26, 34) transmitting two torques between a drive shaft (12) and two traction parts (24, 32), where the drive shaft is connected to a planetary gear for providing a transmission ratio between the pulleys. A pressing plate is coupled with a summing up gear box to perform cancellation of a frictional contact with a functional element of the planetary gear as result of a relative rotation of one of the pulleys to the other pulley. A planet carrier is connected with the drive shaft. An independent claim is also included for a method for changing a transmission ratio between a drive shaft of a motor car and a pulley.
