The method involves calculating (21) a proximity value of a first set of users (U1) from a set of data included in a user profile. A second set of users (U2) whose proximity value is higher than a predetermined threshold, is selected (22) from the first set of users, where the calculated proximity value is dependant on the first set of users. Social relevance index of documents is calculated from a set of actions realized on the documents by the second set of users using a calculator.
