The device (10) has a pneumatic cushion (20) positioned between a case (12) and front and rear towing units (13, 14) of a vehicle (11) i.e. car. A pressure sensor (24) measures the air pressure in the cushion, and a compressor (21) injects air into the cushion. A height sensor (22) determines the elevation of the case of the car between two states of inflation of the cushion. The cushion includes a spring to retract the cushion by evacuating air contained in the cushion after measurement of a load of the car.
