The hinge (1) has two sides (5, 6) that are connected by a folding zone (7), which is formed in the shape of open slot coupling, where the hinge is able to adopt an open assembly configuration in which the sides are isolated from one another, and a set of tightened configurations in which the sides are brought closer to each other. The sides are arranged to notch itself successively with a set of notches (11) by elastic force exerted by deformation of the hinge as the sides are brought closer to each other to define increasingly tightened configuration. An independent claim is also included for a head-rest.
