The device has a braided steel cable with multiple strands of wires (10) connected at its two ends. The cable includes two coupling sleeves (20) for connecting the two ends of the cable. The sleeves are crimped precisely at regular intervals on the cable with a metallurgical compressive force of about 10 kilogram-Newton (KgN) for a small diameter cable, and upto 30,000 KgN for a large diameter cable. Each sleeve includes an opening of tubular cross-section, where the diameter of the opening is equal to the diameter of the cable. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a method for manufacturing a movement transmission device (2) a machine for manufacturing a movement transmission device.
