The method involves exclusively holding a palmiped (20) in a cervico-cephalic area with its neck to be set approximately horizontal. A peripheral edge (21) released and overhanged from an elevated platform (24) is drawn in a certain direction, and the palmiped is held with its head overhanging outside the peripheral edge of the platform. The palmiped is force-fed along its neck extended through a cannula (22) that is introduced through its beak. A portion of food is delivered to the palmiped under pressure by placing the food portion on the platform. An independent claim is also included for a gavaging device for palmiped poultry.
