The method involves providing a set of walls (11, 11') that is articulated by two respective folding lines (13') to a basic part. Another set of walls (12, 12') is attached with the basic part. The latter set of walls is separated from the basic part, and the former set of walls is drawn up with regard to the bottom by folding of the former set of walls according to the two respective folding lines. The latter set of walls is positioned so as to draw the latter set of walls with regard to the basic part. The drawn up latter set of walls is fixed at contiguous upstanding walls. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a blank (2) a device for manufacturing a packing (3) a packing.
