The gearbox (2) has a transmission gear (I) provided with a pinion (10) of a primary shaft (6), where the pinion meshes with a pinion (26) of a secondary shaft (8). Another transmission gear (V, VI) is provided with another pinion (14) of the primary shaft. A countershaft (48) is provided with a reverse pinion (42) that meshes with the pinion of the secondary shaft. The countershaft is provided with another reverse pinion (46) that meshes with the latter pinion of the primary shaft. The reverse pinions are selectively rotated relative to each other.
