The method involves pre-assembling a structural metal reinforcement (10) on a part of fan blade (1) with interposition of adhesive layer (20) between contact surfaces of the reinforcement and the part. The reinforcement is placed on the blade in a bonding mold (30) that has a carcass (31) and a compaction block (32) in contact with outer surface of the reinforcement, where the block is formed from a material whose thermal expansion coefficient is greater than that of carcass material. The block is heated to cause a reticulation of adhesive and concomitant thermal expansion of the block. An independent claim is also included for a bonding mold for implementing a method for fixing a structural metal reinforcement on a part of a blade.
