The device (30) has two supporting blocks (34) for supporting and positioning a joint (22) and a part of a turboshaft engine. The supporting blocks comprise a reception surface for receiving the joint in a predetermined fixing position on the part, where the surface is shaped to match a shape of the joint placed in the position. A holding plate (36) holds the part applied to the joint in the position and pressurizes the part on the joint. The supporting blocks extending along two opposite sides of the part are carried by a common base (32) and made of plastic or metal. An independent claim is also included for a method for fixing a joint on a part of a turboshaft engine.
