The method involves determining a dephasing law applicable to aerial elements (311) of an electronic scanning antenna (300) for a frequency and a set of observable directions (theta 1). Another set of observable directions (theta 2) is determined simultaneously at another frequency different from the former frequency, where the latter observable directions are solutions of the dephasing law applied to the latter frequency. The latter directions are determined by a formula including a relationship between the frequencies and a lattice pitch of the antenna. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a multifrequency pointing device (2) an electronic scanning antenna.
