The device has a support, and an envelope provided in elastic material for allowing progression of ultrasounds, where the elastic material is able to regain its initial form after being penetrated by a needle of diameter up to 2 mm. The envelope is fixed at the support in a water-tight manner. The envelope and the support define an interior space (8) filled with an acoustically transparent medium e.g. gel. A set of model units (10, 11) e.g. kidney, is placed in the center of the medium, where each unit presents an acoustic impedance similar to the impedance of the model unit it represents. An independent claim is also included for a method for simulation of guided sampling and/or injection by ultrasonography.
