The device (D) has connection-bars (BF) assuring a fixed connection between a positive terminal (BP) and a negative terminal (BN) of a battery cell (CB1) and a terminal close to another battery cell (CB2). Pilot wheels (C1-C3) include electrically conducting arms (B1, B2) that are simultaneously rotated around a same axle (A1) in opposed directions. A drive bar (BE) is coupled with the pilot wheels and rotates the arms of the pilot wheels between positions in which the bar assures interconnection of the cells with the arms in series and in series-parallel.
