The circuit breaker (10) has two arcing contacts housed in a bulb (20) with sulfur hexafluoride (SF6), and permanent contacts (40-42) placed outside the gas bulb. The permanent contacts are housed in a main chamber (30) containing an insulating gas under pressure, where the insulating gas is selected from one of CO2, N2, air, SF6, CF4, fluoroketone, hydrofluoroolefin, fluoro-oxirane, fluoro- nitrile, or a mixture of the gases. The pressure of the insulating gas in the main chamber is between 1 and 5 bars.
