The arrangement (10) has a belt (12) comprising an end (20a) fixed to a roller (22) and another end (20b) that is provided with a free fastener (30a). Another fastener (30b) is arranged between the ends of the belt. Two locking elements (32a, 32b) are fixed on a roof (34) of a vehicle body (16) and a side of a seat (14) and lock the two fasteners carried by the belt, respectively. The belt is located near the roller in an unused configuration of the arrangement and extends from the roller to the former locking unit via the latter locking unit in a used configuration of the arrangement.
