The method involves sending a message signaling beginning of addressing process on a link of management center (3) or emergency lighting blocks (2) to simultaneously address the center with the blocks. The message passing into an addressable state is received by the blocks to emit a visual signal. A button is pressed by an operator based on the signal to provide an address request to the center. The request is received in a data base and transmitted to the blocks. A message signaling end of the process is sent on the link, and the message passing into normal operation state is received. An independent claim is also included for an installation for implementing a method for addressing emergency lighting blocks.
