The door frame (5) has an internal framework (37) ensuring the mechanical strength of the frame. An external framework (38) is intended to be sealingly assembled to the internal framework, and to consist of a part of the frame to be exposed to the external space when the frame is installed in an opening of a wall. The external framework is made of wood having undergone a high temperature heat treatment aiming at destroying the hemicellulose of wood. The internal framework includes a rabbet (44) to form a space for receiving a portion of an opening of the frame. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) an opening frame (2) a joinery for a window.
