The device (D) has a processing unit (MT) arranged to associate a grid with an image of a chart before being displayed on a screen (EC), where the grid is subdivided into differentiable zones. Display of images of only selected zone on the screen in an enlarged form and with an additional grid is initiated by the processing unit when one of the zones of the image displayed on the screen is selected by using a man-machine interface (IH), where the selected zone is divided into differentiable zones. An independent claim is also included for a method for processing digital images of a chart.
