The generator has a gas line (1) designed to be traversed by a gas flow between an inlet (2) and an outlet (3) of the gas line. A dismountable pipe (4) opens into the gas line through an opening (5). A movement unit imparts a pressure pulse in the gas flow by moving an interface (6) of contact with the gas flow in the pipe. The pipe extends while widening towards the opening in the gas line. A piston is freely slidingly mounted in the pipe, and driven by an actuating unit e.g. crank-connecting rod system. An independent claim is also included for an assembly for producing a pulsated gas flow.
