The device has an elongated perforated sheath (1) closed at its lower end and placed vertically along a wall of a partially immersed artificial bank (2). Filling material (3) e.g. stone, forms cavities (4) in contact with an external medium (5). An attachment unit (6) attaches the device with the wall of the bank. The perforated sheath is held in two compartments separated from each other, where one of the components receives the fill material. The adjacent compartments are separated by a partition wall (7) forming a spacer. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a movable artificial habitat device.
