The mini-handle has redundant systems for transmitting activation states of control elements e.g. pushbuttons, to corresponding control units provided in an aircraft. Each system is provided with multiple sensors. The control elements operate the sensors to change states of the sensors when the control elements change the activation states. An electronic unit is mounted in a portable unit, and digitizes the states of the associated sensors. The electronic unit sends the states of the sensors on a bus to transfer data, where the bus connects the electronic unit to the control units.
