The method involves performing a Boolean function on data (X) stored in a register of a smart card, and outputting a result, where the Boolean function is defined by a Boolean operator. A random number (h1) is obtained, and the data is reversibly modified (102) by application of another function parameterized by the random number. The Boolean operator is modified (103) in accordance with the random number, and an assistant function is output. The assistant function associated with the modified data is executed to deliver another result corresponding to the application of the latter function. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a computer program product for cryptographic processing (2) a computer readable storage medium storing a cryptographic processing program (3) an electronic device.
