The helmet (1) has a generator (3) including a chamber for fluid, and an electrical heater for the fluid present in the chamber. A condenser (4) includes an inlet fluidly connected to the generator. An evaporation tube (5) includes an inlet, which is provided in fluid connection with an outlet of the condenser via a pipe. An expansion valve (50) is provided on the pipe. The evaporation tube includes an outlet provided in fluidic connection with the generator. The evaporation tube is arranged inside the helmet and provided in heat exchange relationship with an interior of the helmet. The fluid is refrigerant such as ammonia and water, and absorbing fluid such as water and saline solution e.g. bromide solution and lithium solution. The electrical heater is a resistance heater.
