Method for determining characteristics of e.g. pointed radar signal, in presence of interferences from e.g. cell tower, involves retaining repetition period as repetition period of pulses of signal if number of pulses is in variation range
The method involves calculating a number of estimated pulses for estimated repetition period of pulses in absence of interferences during a duration. A range of estimated variation of number of pulses is defined, where the range has a lower limit equal to a difference between an average value of the number of impulses in presence of interference and a standard deviation of average value. A verification is made if the number of received impulses is included in the range. The period is retained as a repetition period of pulses of the signal if the number of pulses is included in the range. The range of estimated variation of number of pulses has an upper limit equal to sum between the average value of the estimated number of pulses received in the presence of interference and the standard deviation. An independent claim is also included for a system for identifying a signal.
