Annular internal or external wall for e.g. direct flow combustion chamber, of turboshaft engine, has cooling holes whose drilling axes are directed according to direction of air flow so as to maintain supply of air axially across holes
The internal wall (30) or external wall has a set of cooling holes (44), each being inclined at an inclination angle with respect to a normal to the wall. The holes are distributed according to a set of axially spaced lines from/to each other to allow air to circulate from a cold side of the wall to penetrate on a hot side, in order to form a film of cooling air along the wall. Geometric drilling axes of each of the holes are directed according to a direction of air flow (F2) circulating around the wall in order to maintain supply of air axially across the holes along the wall. An independent claim is also included for a combustion chamber.
