The device has a slide (13) arranged so as to move with respect to a guide (11) according to a travel defined by the guide between positions. A collar (14) is mounted on the slide or guide and fixed axially around a flexible pipe. An elastic return mechanism (21) is interposed between the slide and the guide to return the slide towards one of the positions. The mechanism includes a spiral spring (25), and a pulley (26) connected to the spiral spring for rotatively actuating the spring. The mechanism has a traction cable (22) fixed at the pulley. An independent claim is also included for an articulated robot.
